It has been quite eventful the last 7 weeks being in New Zealand. A whirlwind, really. I am looking back at photos and I can't believe all that I have gotten to do and be part of. Awesome! But I do feel the significant lack of my network back in the states, especially in Buffalo. Sometimes when God calls you to something, it requires leaving behind loved ones and relationships. I know how much time it has taken to build those relationships, but I am confident that when God calls you somewhere he doesn't leave you hanging. I am excited about new friendships here in New Zealand and honestly, I think God has put A-MAZING people in my path.
Let me dwell on how awesome the people are here: my pastor and his family have such a sacrificial love for people and the Lord, they are very local and globally community focused and a challenge to me to be so as well. There are several famlies who have opened their tables to me and hosted me for dinner; which I LOVE... people and food, 2 of my favorites!! Looking forward to telling you more as it happens.
