There are many thoughts brewing in my mind about this new year. Everyone knows that January 1st is a time to "start fresh" but basically ends in making unrealistic goals for the next 12 months. I'm already making some big goals this year but I am honestly asking for God's help to make those goals and to see them realized.
I am particularly excited about this new year because 2009 will be the year that I leave the states, my family, home and everything familiar to head to New Zealand to join where God is moving. There are many steps that I need to take before I can step onto that plane, but this new year is full of excitement, preparation and refining. This new year will not just be about the goals I set for myself but about the process. Because I know that this year will put me through a refining process and God is helping me to grow into the person he desires me and is preparing my heart for ministry; and this is not always easy or painless. But, I say... bring it on! "Let's do this! Ooh- oooht" [<- Nicole you'll get the reference]
(But first, let's not skip over Christmas!) Thanks for all the love and support that each of you have shown. Please know how much it deeply affects me, I am so humbled. Truly, I thank God for the people and relationships he has placed in my life. <3 Merry Christmas :-)
